Escape

Well, they say you can’t escape your past and I would have to agree. Recent events have shown me that even if I have managed to overcome and move on from the events in my past, they may not have necessarily done the same.

How we face such situations is testament to our own personal strength, our will to live. Some derive this from others and some of us find it somewhere inside ourselves without needing to stand of the shoulders of others to reach such heights.

I agree, for most people there isn’t a choice to be had. It’s a biological imperative that can’t be ignored, let alone resisted. Many of us don’t get to join in and (desperately) want to but for a few of us there is a most definitely a choice to be made and almost inevitably the path that is chosen is the path of one.

Geez, this one’s been really preachy. At least I’m not bitter…
