iPod update using iTunes sucks
So iTunes tells me there’s an update for my iPod Touch (1.1.1). I click the ‘Update’ button and the 150Mb (!!) download begins. I disconnect the iPod and come back (much) later when the download has finished. I reconnect the iPod but can’t find any option to install the download.
I finally find the downloaded file in ‘C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates’ but it’s not in any usable format, ie. zip, exe.
I tentatively click the ‘Update’ button again and it’s starts downloading the file all over again. FFS!
Beware people, nowadays software publishers expect you all to have unlimited ultra-fast broadband.
